A strange day working at Wembley Stadium during the Queen's Funeral that I decided early on to document on my Fuji X100V. On the way down every screen seemed to be blacked-out with 'ER', the raw reality of grey modern England contrasted with the immaculate ceremony that confronted us on arrival, broadcast with perfect audio on two giant screens to a handful of technicians. I have great respect for the Queen as a consistent and dedicated public servant, in fact she has looked more and more reliable in the face of the wholly inept politicians of recent times. They don't represent any British identity I value, but neither does this beautifully curated pomp. Perhaps this is what we are now, a kind of living museum piece, a curiosity to ourselves and the rest of the world.
